The LED neon rope light is a direct replacement for neon tubes only it is flexible and uses far less power. You can make up your own signs as this is the 12V DC version

You can supply power to it with a 240V AC to 12V DC transformer and rectifier.

 This rope light can be connected to your car battery but be sure to connect the red lead from the light to the positive terminal of the battery and the blue from the light to the negative terminal of the battery.

Take it camping with you and connect to your car battery for a versatile, safe light which the children cannot knock over and break or set fire to your tent.
